THE GAY COOKIE

June 28, 2012

Image

Alright, once again I find myself confused. This time it is about the so-called gay cookie. Tell you the truth, I didn’t know cookies had sexual preferences.

It seems as if Oreo decided to bake a cookie to celebrate gays. First allow me to say, Oreo owns their ovens and their cookie dough, so I suppose they can bake anything they like.

What I can’t imagine is why they would slap so many people in the face. Call them homophobic, haters or whatever. I call them customers. Are the gays and their supporters going to eat more cookies now just to make up the lost in the market? I doubt it.

I am in the car business. What if I ran an ad celebrating my love of fat women. Of course, I would show a picture of an old Lincoln. I would choose this car because it would be big just like them. This whole idea would be stupid. In this case, it would be an insult to BBW as well as much of my other clientele.

Same applies to a gay cookie. Say that they simply ran off 30% of the customers. To me that is a stupid move.

First thing you are taught when you’re getting into sales. Never talk about religion or politics and avoid sports at all cost. If you don’t you will loose way more sales than you make every time.

Still maybe I got this wrong. After all I have a small car lot, and they control most of the cookie business in the world. I will end this as I started.

I am confused.

Bubba’s Car Emporium and fine Pre-owned Cars and Trucks

March 15, 2012

As most of you that read this blog regularly know, I own a car lot. Like all small business people, I am always on the lookout for new trends.

I have found over the last three years that people need less and less expensive cars and trucks. I have my own ideas of why this is happening. Still today isn’t the day to ponder on deep things. No, today is a day to try to figure out how to keep my head above water.

I am thinking of buying some of the vehicles below. I can buy them at a very good price and then sale them below market value and still make a profit.

Some of you may disagree but profit really isn’t a nasty word. It isn’t even nasty when a car dealer says it.

Any way as a consumer, do you think any of the following might sell?

Oh yes, I am also thinking as a market strategy to change the name of my lot from, A CAR LOT, to Bubba’s Car Emporium and Fine Pre-owned Cars and Trucks.
Your input would be greatly appreciated.

A GOOD DAY

February 16, 2010

Not a lot to write about today.

I woke up and that is good. God is still control and that is great. The politicians think they are and that is funny. Barbie got the weather right. That is amazing. Sales are down that seems to have become normal. Prices are up and that is just my darn luck.

My wife is getting over the flu or something and that is a blessing. I am not ranting and raving about any thing. That is unusual. Lots of you are actually visiting this blog. That is unbelievable.

The snowplow is still running just below on the last blog. That is strange that any thing with government attached to it is still functioning, Joe Biden hasn’t said any thing stupid yet today. That doesn’t happen much. John McCain wiped the dinosaur poop off his shoes. It was about time.

Looks like Michelle Obama might be going on a diet of foot. I say that because lots of people think she put hers in her mouth. President Obama hasn’t pressed the wrong button yet. Think goodness he does not allow Joe close to them.

Finally, Sarah is as cute as a button and I most likely am going to vote for her for no other reason. I am tired of ugly people being in the White House. Yes, I think it is going to be a great day and yes, I Know I had more to say than I originally thought I did.

PS One last thing. To my friends that often correct my political correctness alone with my spelling and word use. Get over it. This after all is just a stupid blog. I have seen worse in the newspaper.
