If you have ever wondered how one of the richest states in the union can go broke read the following. This story goes on to bigger things, but I am sure you will get the idea.
One other question this morning. I have heard Obama threaten social security checks medi-care and the military. I have not heard him mention we may have to cut back on what we give to non-americans. The ones in this country or abroad.
If given the choice between helping your neighbor and your own family, which would you choose?

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – California Governor Jerry Brown signed into law on Monday a bill allowing illegal immigrants to receive privately funded scholarships to attend the state’s public colleges and universities.
The bill, dubbed the California Dream Act, passed the state Legislature earlier this month and aims at helping illegal immigrants who earned a diploma after attending at least three years of high school in the state.
Enactment of the California measure came three days after opponents of a similar law in Maryland collected enough signatures to force a state referendum seeking its repeal.
“At the end of the day, if we’re going to continue as a powerful, equal-opportunity society, we’re going to have to invest in our people,” Brown, a Democrat, said at the signing ceremony in the library of a Los Angeles community college.

I understand that most of us never believe any thing is going to happen until it happens.
Well, the housing bubble actually happen. The debt ceiling is now been hit and congress is refusing to go any further.
Gays serve openly on the military. No one pays the US much attention any more except on pay-day.
Soon we will be adding solar storms to this list. I am sure many will be saying what’s going on when their lights blink and their TV sets go off.
Here is another follow-up from a respectable member of the science community.
Oh, just for the record the Mississippi can still flood.
I am only saying this because so many think that the government can stop any thing. Guess what? God doesn’t take orders from Washington.
GENEVA (AP) — A senior official at the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says solar storms pose a growing threat to critical infrastructure such as satellite communications, navigation systems and electrical transmission equipment.
NOAA Assistant Secretary Kathryn Sullivan says the intensity of solar storms is expected to peak in 2013 and countries should prepare for “potentially devastating effects.”
Solar storms release particles that can temporarily disable or permanently destroy fragile computer circuits.
Sullivan, a former NASA astronaut who in 1984 became the first woman to walk in space, told a U.N. weather conference in Geneva on Tuesday that “it is not a question of if, but really a matter of when a major solar event could hit our planet.”

President Obama’s Treasury dept went over the debt limit as if wasn’t even there by over selling notes and bonds Tuesday and Wednesday.
Mr. Obama is obsessively above any US laws. Maybe he answers to a higher calling of the Muslim faith.
Trust me on this. Hard times are coming. This president reminds me of my daughter when she was a little girl. She came to me on day and ask for some money. I told her I didn’t have any. Her answer was simple.
She handed me my check book and said, “Sure you do. This book is half full of checks.”
Obama’s answer to this crises is a question.
“Are the check writing machines broken.”
The following picture is a little something to make you forget your problems for a second or two.
Have a great day.
